More Issues For HRT Ahead of Australian GP

Will this car be seen racing at Melbourne this weekend?
Once again HRT go into the new season on the back foot. Sky Sports F1 have just reported.

For the past two seasons they have been unprepared for the first race of the season. This season it looks to be no different.

The FIA have given HRT extra time to prepare Pedro De La Rosa's car (car 22) for scrutiny by the race stewards. If the car is not ready 1 and a half hours before first practice session, it won't be allowed on the Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne, Australia.

This is yet another blow for the Spanish team who failed to test their new car in pre season. Marussia also failed to run their new car in testing but that was down to the new crash test rules in F1.

If HRT can't put two cars on the track at the first race, how can they justify being a proper Formula One team? I am a supporter of having small teams in Formula One, everyone should have the opportunity. But how long can this go on? This will be season number three for the new teams, they are no longer new teams, they should be prepared at this level. Some may disagree with my sentiments on this issue, but Caterham have managed it, Marussia have managed it (albeit following some issues).

It's over to you guys now. Should HRT be allowed to continue in such an uncertain environment? Or should they just be given the chance?

We will see what happens tomorrow, but even this news has to be disheartening for their loyal fans.
